A product slider for a ceramics shop, still a little soft

Why displace for ceramics
Ceramic things took their shape from hands, and they remember it. Displace gives you a move that feels like that: a cloudy map pushes the pictures apart as they cross, so an outline softens, gives a little, and comes back. It never tears and it never flashes, so it is calm enough for a page that people read slowly, and it keeps its wit.
The row after it sits on a dome, which turns a line of bowls into a small round world. Rounded objects read well on that curve, though the outer ones get small, so nothing important should sit there. A potter with one of each thing might skip the slider altogether and use a fade, which is free, and which leaves the glaze entirely alone.
How to build this
- Product Slider
- One at a time, Displace, about 1500 ms, with photos shot on one surface.
- Effect
- Dome on a row with at least four in view. It needs width.
- Morph Grid
- For a catalogue, with the second image a close-up of the glaze.

Questions
Is a shader effect too flashy for handmade work?
It can be. Displace stays soft, and it is hard to mistake for a gimmick. If you are not sure, start with a fade, then compare.
Which second image works best on hover?
A close-up of the surface. Glaze and texture are what people cannot get from a wide shot, and a morph to a detail shows them.
How do I handle one-off pieces?
Turn on hide out of stock in the block, so that a sold piece leaves the row without anyone editing the page.
