Sample shops

The right effect depends on what you sell. Each of these is a made-up shop with its own type, colour and layout, and a plain explanation of why it picked what it picked.

A watch shop wants a lens, because people buy the dial, and it wants one product on black at a time. A spa wants water and patience, and nothing that twitches. Sneakers can take a glitch, since a drop is an event, and art prints want the wall they will hang on. Look at the ones nearest to your shop first, and then at one that is nothing like it: the reasons travel further than the looks do. Every product and price here is a sample, and the sections further down each page show the same products in plain store blocks, as you would use them day to day. Nobody should copy one whole: take the reasons, and let your own photos decide the rest. All twelve run on the same blocks, so anything you see here can be set up in your own shop with the settings listed on its page.
