Jelly effect for WooCommerce product sliders
Fling the row. The harder you throw it, the more you see.
The slides are soft. Whatever moves them pulls them out of shape: the middle hangs back, they lengthen along the way and thin across, and no two of them lean quite the same.
It bends the mesh itself, not just the picture, so the outline of the card wobbles. Stretch moves what is inside the frame, and this moves the frame.
Comes with Pro. Pro starts at $19 a year.
Put it on
- Sweets, soap and bath bombs
- Soft and a bit silly, and it matches the texture of the thing.
- Kids' shops
- Dragging it is fun in itself, and that is enough of a reason.
- Playful brands
- A shop with a sense of humour can have its product cards behave like pudding.
Keep it off
- Tailoring and watches
- Nothing about precision survives a wobble.
- Tightly packed rows
- Slides leave their outline as they deform, so give the slider padding or they collide with the edges.
Settings
The names here are gpu slider's, which draws it. The defaults on the sliders are its defaults.
In the block, in three steps
- Add the Product Slider block to your page, and under Products choose one category.
- Leave Layout on Row, then pick Jelly under Effect. It comes with Pro.
- Give it padding above and below first. Then throw the row and see whether anything gets cut off.
