Unweave effect for WooCommerce product sliders
Oat wool coat
€340
Drag it, or click a slide at the side.
Near the two ends of the view, slides come apart into threads, as off a loom: each row runs on past the image for a length of its own. In the middle, nothing happens.
It solves an old row problem: products being cut off by the edge of the container. Here the cut becomes a feature, and the products fray out into nothing.
Comes with Pro. Pro starts at $19 a year.
Put it on
- Textile and fashion rows
- Frayed edges are a real detail in that world.
- Full-bleed bands
- At the edge of the screen, threads look like they carry on past the window.
- Long horizontal loops
- Works especially well with several products in view, moving slowly.
Keep it off
- One slide per view
- It only affects the ends of the view, and a single large slide never rests there.
- Hard, precise products
- Fraying a stainless steel knife is a mixed message.
Settings
The names here are gpu slider's, which draws it. The defaults on the sliders are its defaults.
In the block, in three steps
- Add the Product Slider block to your page, and under Products choose one category.
- Pick Unweave under Effect. The block centres the row for it. It comes with Pro.
- Look at the ends of the row at rest. You should see threads begin at about the point set by start. Move it outward if they reach a product you want clean.
