Sweep effect for WooCommerce product sliders
Press Next: the whole set changes as one.
Takes any transition and lays it over a whole grid at once, so the places turn as one picture. A burn front crosses from one product into the next, passing over the gaps, while each product keeps its own corners.
A changing grid normally turns place by place. With sweep, it is one event across all of them, which can make a plain category section look like a single large object.
Comes with Pro. Pro starts at $19 a year.
Put it on
- A section of four to eight products
- Enough places for the front to travel across, and not so many that each is a stamp.
- Burn, glyphs or lightning
- Transitions with a clear travelling front look best. A push or warp takes its pixels from the edge of each place, so it does less.
- A campaign band above a shop
- A change of collection, shown once every few seconds.
Keep it off
- Large carts of many similar products
- People lose track of which was where, since they all change at the same moment.
- Rows meant to be dragged
- The places stay put here, and dragging is not the point.
Settings
The names here are gpu slider's, which draws it. The defaults on the sliders are its defaults.
Sweep has no settings of its own, apart from the time of a move.
In the block, in three steps
- Add the Product Slider block to your page, and under Products choose one category.
- Set Layout to the grid whose places change, then turn on Sweep and choose the transition that crosses it. It comes with Pro.
- Pick a transition with a front, set the number of places, and watch one change. You should feel one movement, not eight.
