Rings spread from the pointer like something dipped into a pond. A hand that stays still gets a steady, slow answer.

Gentle on the skin, with a calm scent of cedar and salt.
Point at the picture. On a touch screen, press and drag.
Good for one large picture on a slow page, such as a spa, bath or pool shop. Twelve thumbnails all rippling at once would be restless, so keep it to one per view.
What the sliders do
- Size
- How far the rings reach. Near the top they cover the whole picture.
- Strength
- How strongly they bend the picture. Keep it low on labelled goods, or the label wobbles.
Where we started
The values we started this page on: Size 60, Strength 35.
Questions
Is this the same as the Ripple transition?
No. Ripple moves from one image to the next. Waves stays on one picture for as long as the pointer is over it.
Does it run when nobody is pointing?
No. It stops when the pointer leaves, and the slider draws nothing while it rests.
