Slide-up, a clean picture until someone points at it
At rest the card is a bare picture with the name and price under it. Point at it and a button the full width of the card rises over the foot of the picture, right where the eye already is. Pro
Why it works in a shop
The row stays calm, without a button under every product, and the action appears for the one card a visitor is looking at. It is a pattern that fashion and homeware shops have used for years, so nobody has to learn it. The button is your theme's button at full width, a large target that is hard to miss.
On touch screens
There is nothing to point with on a phone, so there the button stays on the foot of the picture all the time. That makes the row busier than on a desktop, and it is why you should look at it on a phone before you settle. It does mean nobody on a phone has to guess how to buy.
What it covers
While it shows, the button covers a strip at the bottom of the picture about as tall as the button is. Square photos with some floor around the product lose nothing important. Keep it in mind with the second picture on hover, since the picture and the button change at the same moment, which looks good if the second photo has room too.
Questions
Does the button say Add to cart on every product?
It says what WooCommerce says for that product: a variable product asks to select options and goes to its page.
Can a keyboard reach it?
Yes. The button rises when the card holds the focus, the same as under the pointer.
