Spine, the price printed up the edge
A narrow strip stands at the bottom right of the picture with the price running up it, like the spine of a book. It grows a little when the card is pointed at. Name and button stay below. Pro
What it adds
The picture stays almost whole, while the price is impossible to miss and looks like part of the graphic design rather than like a caption. It suits sneakers, records, books and other things people already collect and line up. Shops with a strong look can carry it most easily.
Reading sideways
Vertical numbers are a little slower to read than flat ones, so this design is not for a row where comparing prices is the whole point. A price of a few digits reads easily. A sale shows both prices on the strip, so it gets taller, and on a small card that takes up more of the edge.
Colours and the corner
The strip is your theme's text colour, with its base colour for the numbers, so it reads over any photo. Look at the bottom right corner of your pictures: a plain floor loses nothing, while a product that runs out of the frame at that corner will be cut by the strip.
Questions
Does a screen reader read the price normally?
Yes. The price is ordinary text, turned with CSS.
What does the strip do on a phone?
It stays at its resting size, as there is no pointing there. Everything else is the same.
